Nightmare

Cold sweat dwells
Heart beats thump.
I'm shaking
Shivering.

I'm alone in the dark
With demons surround.
I am alone I've been alone,
Ever since you left me.

How I yearn,
For your comfort
Your warmth
And your hugs.

I was safe
When you held me.
I was brave
With you by my side.

Now I am
Fragile,
Alone,
And weak.

I'm vulnerable
There is no one
To protect me,

I stand alone
